| PowerRouter – optimizing your self-consumption |
Increasing electricity bills and attractive government subsidies make PV plants economically and ecologically interesting for private homeowners as well. The installation of a photovoltaic plant used to be less profitable for households with a high private consumption of electricity since generally most of the electric power is consumed when hardly any solar power is generated: early in the morning, in the evening or at night. This is where the PowerRouter comes in – ensuring largre profits. By using storage technologies intelligently, the PowerRouter increases the portion of your self-onsumption to up to 70 percent. So, each kilowatt-hour is cash for you. Hence, in 20 years, a four-person household will easily have generated a profit of more than 12,000 euro. enerquinn GmbH is the PowerRouter partner in Germany– for distribution and service.
In Germany, the Renewable Energies Act (EEG) commits grid operators to priority purchase of renewably generated electricity. Moreover, the act includes a special stipulation, which makes the self-onsumption of solar energy particularly interesting. Everyone consuming self-produced solar energy saves on their electricity bill – and additionally receives a nice government bonus. It is therefore interesting to yourself consume as much as possible of the solar energy produced with your own PV plant. With a self-consumption of 30 % or more of the self-produced electricity, 16 cent per kilowatt-hour (kWh) will be returned to you in the form of a bonus. With the PowerRouter you will be able to increase this part considerably. To up to 70 %. The PowerRouter stores electricity which is not consumed (immediately) during the day in batteries to redirect it to the loads in the house as needed, i.e. early in the morning, in the evening or at night. An external gauge records the current consumption. Thus, the PowerRouter ensures an optimization of the own electricity consumption using electricity from the batteries whenever needed. When these are full, the solar power is simply fed into the grid. Due to an integrated internet connection, users can view the actual portion of their own consumption at any time, at home, when staying with friends or during their holiday. Moreover, when using the PowerRouter, the PV plant also serves as emergency power supply (via an external relay). In the case of a power blackout, the PowerRouter ensures that the electricity demand is covered by solar power and through the batteries. |
